Caller ID is one of the most popular CLASS Features from KPU Telecommunications. Caller ID puts you in control of your incoming calls by telling you who is calling before you pick up the phone.
Caller ID Service requires a Caller ID display unit which shows the caller ID information including name, number, time and date of call. KPU offers a varity of Caller ID phones. On- Screen Caller ID is also availible with KPU CommVision TV Service.

Caller ID/Call Waiting combines two of KPU Telecommunications’ most useful features. When you are on the phone and you receive a second call, you can choose which call is more important by seeing who the new caller is by using your caller ID unit.
Caller ID/ Call Waiting requires a caller ID display unit which shows the caller ID information including name, number, time and date, the unit must support Call Waiting. KPU Telecommunications carries Cidco Caller ID/Call Waiting for $56.00 for use with Caller ID/Call Waiting and a wide variety of phones that feature built in Caller ID /Call Waiting.

Last Call Return allows you to redial the last number that called you. If the calling party is busy, this feature will continue to redial that number every minute for up to 30 minutes and notify you when the call is going through.

This feature allows your telephone to continuously redial a number which you have called that is busy. Once you activate this feature, your telephone will redial that selected number every minute, for 30 minutes. When the line is available, a distinctive ring alerts you that the busy line is clear and once you pick up the telephone the call is automatically placed. You can also continue to receive and make calls from your telephone as this feature is activated.

Selective Call Forwarding allows you to select which numbers will be forwarded to a number you choose while allowing the rest of your calls to ring normally to your home or business. This feature works much like the Call Forward feature but gives you additional freedom in controlling which callers will be forwarded to a particular number.

With this feature you can designate up to 31 telephone numbers which are allowed to ring through to your telephone while all other callers hear a polite recording that the party is not accepting calls at this time.

With Selective Call Rejection you can designate up to 31 selected numbers which are rejected from being delivered to your telephone. The callers on your call rejection list hear a polite recording stating that the party is not accepting calls at this time.

This feature enables you to trace harassing calls with the assistance of KPU Telecommunications and local law enforcement authorities. When a Call Trace is initiated, the number is recorded at the KPU switching center then forwarded to the Ketchikan Police Department. Cost for Call Trace is $5.00 per investigation.

With this feature, you can program up to 12 numbers to be automatically identified by a distinctive ringing pattern even if your telephone is in use. When a member of the Distinctive Ring group places a call, you will be notified by a short-long-short ringing pattern identifying the caller as a member of your select calling list.

Call Blocking allows you to restrict your number from being identified when you are making a call. This feature can be activated at all times or on a per call basis. There is no charge for having this feature on your line.
